J. K. Rowling es el pseudónimo de Joanne 'Jo' Rowling. Nació en Yate, South Gloucestershire (Reino Unido) el 31 de julio de 1965. Se hizo mundialmente famosa por sus novelas sobre Harry Potter, que la convirtieron en multimillonaria en sólo cinco años. La saga consta de "Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal", "Harry Potter y la cámara secreta", "Harry Potter y el prisionero de Azkaban", "Harry Potter y el cáliz de fuego", "Harry Potter y la orden del fénix", "Harry Potter y el misterio del príncipe" y "Harry Potter y las reliquias de la Muerte". Aunque no son sus únicos libros son los más famosos. El que se hayan ido llevado al cine le ha ayudado mucho para llegar a casi todo el planeta.
